EMI share option schemes, EOT etc are designed to give you tools to incentivise employees to stay, be more productive etc. Do they work? I have some thoughts I’ll share in person.
There’s also the question of fairness, and whether you thing the owner-employee contract is changing. What’s unacceptable to one person is absurdly generous to another. I was advised not to accelerate vesting of share options to my employees but it hasn’t occured to me to regret it for a second.
